Entrepreneurs’ Exit Strategy Intentions and Their Final Exit Paths

Abstract This paper explores entrepreneurs’ initially intended exit strategies and compares them to their final paths using an inductive approach that builds on the grounded theory methodology. Our data shows differ among entrepreneurs. Two groups of entrepreneurs emerged from our data. The first group comprises who financed firms through equity investors. second is made up businesses solely with own equities. originally a financial harvest strategy settled this strategy. stewardship but did not succeed. We used planned behavior behavioral agency model analyze By examining results these two theoretical perspectives, study explains how intentions lead actual strategies.
